Unloading

(by unloading we mean unloading the ship of its wheat cargo)

The company has invested in the latest device for unloading ships, and this device was installed in the port of Al-Ma’alla under an agreement with the Yemeni Ports Authority, After the approval of the import of the shipment and the approval of the specifications and making sure that it meets Yemen standardization metrology and quality control, the shipment is imported and when the ship arrives at the port, some Samples of wheat are taken in order to compare them with what was previously agreed upon, and after confirming this, unloading is started by means of the unload device (ship unloader), which works to convey the wheat from the ship to the first rubber belt conveyor parallel to the port, which is 169 meters long, and from there to the second rubber belt, which is 263 meters long which transports and delivers the wheat from the first belt to the wheat silos section and the precleaning tower, where The devices and equipment of this tower clean the wheat grains first by removing some large impurities, then the wheat is weighed by means of a high-accuracy electronic scale (intake scale), and then the wheat is received by means of a huge bucket elevators that raises the wheat grains to the top of the silos, where the quantities are distributed inside the storage silos automatically.

The Initial Cleaning

When the wheat arrives at the silos section, a preliminary cleaning of the wheat is done before storage by the following :

Three drum sieves machines: It contains large sieves that separate wheat from bulk impurities according to their size.
Huge tubular magnets: It picks up any metal materials impurities inside wheat.
Automatic hopper scale (intake scale):It is connected to the main computer and its function is to weigh the wheat and make sure that the weight in papers conforms the actual weight, after that the wheat is lifted to the wheat silos for storage until demand.

The wheat silos are prepared with temperature sensors which measure the change in temperature of the wheat in addition to that there are the powerful ventilating funs that compress the air from the base of silos to ventilate the wheat when the temperature rises in silos, After that the wheat is transferred into two sections (mill section & wheat packing section)

A separate section with wheat cleaning equipment and a number of bagging scales for packing wheat with belt conveyors to the trucks.

Mill

Passing the wheat over a strong magnet, which in turn picks up metallic and foreign objects, then the wheat rises to the sixth floor, where the raw wheat is weighed. To weigh the wheat and control its flow to the cleaning machines to clean the wheat from impurities, straw, dust, and the lighter particles than the grain of wheat.

Sorting out the stones, straw, dust and crushed grains.
Sorting out larger grains than the grains of wheat, broken and strange grains.
Rubbing the grains to clean them from dust and fluff stuck in them (scourer machine) so that the wheat is ready for dampening.

Then going down to the moisture tester device to test the initial humidity, which is an infrared device (MYFB) and then adding water automatically according to the data recorded in the control device (PLC).The process in the mill is a sequential intake process (grinding _ sifting _ separating _ re-grinding) until the flour is separated from the bran, then a process of softening the flour is taking place.
• Iron and folic acid are added to the flour in order to fortify the flour to meet the specifications of the World Health Organization, After the flour is ready for sale and use, it is stored in special bins and the bran is also stored in its own bins.
